Ah, the difficulty of shooting in your own town. When traveling, you tend to see everything with fresh eyes and find places to shoot all over. But in your home city, everything looks ordinary. At least for me. It’s terribly difficult to find a place interesting enough. Well on that day, we walked from place to place, trying to find all kinds of settings for this workaholic character who can’t stop crunching numbers even on a beautiful day outdoors. I wanted to shoot with Montreal buildings as a background and so went next to the City Hall, remembering there’s kind of a view here. I set the model up as best as I could, and shot this. Not quite what I had in mind, but it worked out well enough. And you see the Mont Royal, so it does have a sense of location.
