I’m happy I get to show this one. This is quite a sleeper, not selling much anywhere, but it made some good money at Getty this year, enough to make it into this list. I’ve always liked the impact of the large white turbines against the stormy weather. That’s a cool example of the weather actually adding to the concept. Plenty of copy space and a simple color palette. I have this printed in my souvenir book from the trip, and it’s got quite a punch in large format. This was shot in Wales during my road trip in late Summer 2011 using the longest lens I had with me, a 200mm, from a beautiful observation point above Prestatyn. I have this printed in my souvenir book from the trip, and it’s got quite a punch in large format. It’s one of my faves from that amazing trip, and one of only two to make it near this top 50, which is a let down since as a group, they did so well in 2012.

You can view all my UK photographs in this Istock light box.
