Well, we didn’t drive at all today. We stayed in our lovely room at the Lochinver lodge, enjoyed afternoon tea and a lovely breakfast. While Benoît, driver extraordinaire, was recharging his batteries, I took a 4 hour walk around the village and up the hills into, hum, some barren land overlooking the bay. What a view. You’ll see photos eventually and they’ll certainly push my computer to its limits when I post process them.

Although it rained most of the day, the sunset was quite wonderful, and today’s photo is a view of the Suilven Mountain, a quite striking geological landmark, as seen from the hotel at sunset. And now I’m off to dinner at the very good Chez Roux restaurant downstairs.
