Day 6 and still getting better. Today, in full sun and a warm 23 degrees Celsius with no wind, I discovered Jekyll Island, Georgia, a wonderful place, full of gorgeous beaches, lush vegetation (such as the tree above), wild birds, dolphins, restaurants, golf courses and resorts, but all in a very nature-conscious environment. Now, walking into this slice of heaven, I was wondering how come it’s not better known? There must be a catch. Maybe it’s a bit too hard to reach. Maybe the tides, or the undertow is too dangerous. Maybe it’s just Georgia’s best kept secret. Awesome day. And we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset over a creek slashing through a wild swamp. Good times.

It all helps when it comes to forgetting how bad the food is in Brunswick. It seems every little thing I eat and drink here is either too sweet, too salty, or too fat. But I’ve talked already about this, so I’ll just shut up. Maybe tomorrow will bring a good meal as we settle in St-Augustine.
