Today’s photograph is also part of a ten photos series, but this time exploring usage of macro lenses on minuscule sculptural art made of hard candy sugar. It smells really good when you make it too. I love the chatoic nature of doing something like this, when matter literally falls into place. It just becomes a matter of placing it right, lighting it right, and voilà, something unique and that exists for just a moment is captured forever. To improve depth of field on such a macro shot, I shot 6 photos and used the sometimes wonderful, sometimes maligned auto-blend feature in photoshop. This was lit by two flashes facing each other at about 45 degrees off the camera axis.
